Yes, and it is the biggest thing Glotta asks of you. In exchange it does the rest by itself: it collects the words as you write and offers you ten of them a week. The system keyboard stays installed and you can switch back any time with the globe key.

Texting your friends, which you were doing anyway, plus a couple of minutes: part of a lesson, a round of review, or a few questions right on the keyboard. Ten words a week — four verbs and six words — chosen from the ones you actually use.

All the ones where you use the keyboard: messages, email, notes, social apps, work chats. Glotta does not need the host app to know anything about it.

Eight: English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch and Turkish — the languages the keyboard genuinely knows how to type, accents and letters included. You can follow several courses at once, each with its own vocabulary, and the app speaks all eight as well.

The dictionary for your language pair downloads once and can be consulted with no network, as can your vocabulary and your review. For translation, when there is no network the phone's engines answer: on-device translation inside the keyboard requires iOS 26.

Also free, every day: 20 sentences with the strongest models, 10 replacements, 2 analyses, one conversation and 3 questions about a sentence. Premium takes the counters away and lets you choose the model, with a seven-day trial.

Out of the box, the sentence you are writing is sent to a model in the cloud to be translated, and comes back: it is not kept. A switch in Settings makes the phone do all the work. Glotta keeps the words, not the sentences — unless you turn the history on yourself. The Privacy page says everything, feature by feature.

No. Requests are routed only to providers that commit to not keeping the text and not training models on it, and we do not sell or hand your data to anyone.

Because Glotta's value is what you build up: after three months your vocabulary is irreplaceable, and it should not vanish with the phone. Sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent by email, no password, and everything is there on another iPhone.

Yes. From the app you can delete a word, the phrase history, or the whole account with everything it contains, on the phone and on the server. And you can download your data as a file, whenever you like.
