Study apps ask for twenty minutes a day that nobody has, and teach sentences somebody else chose: “the cat drinks the milk”, which you will never say.
Meanwhile, that same person spends two hours a day writing messages. Those are real words, theirs, in real situations — and they are exactly what they would need to be able to say in the other language.

You are texting Marta, like every evening. This is not a lesson and not a study session: it is Wednesday.
Glotta is the keyboard, not an app to open. You write in your own language, in your own words, at your usual speed.
The translation of the sentence you are writing appears above the keys — with the gender and register that are right for you, not a phrasebook's.
The lens on the bar takes the sentence apart without leaving the chat: every word with its job, its base form and the reason for it. It is the moment a translation stops being an answer and becomes an explanation.
The translation replaces what you wrote. No copy-paste, no app in between — and if you change your mind you have three seconds to undo.
Marta replies, you reply. Glotta stays where it is: above the keys, ready for the next sentence, in whichever app you are writing in.
From that sentence Glotta keeps the words — “vemos”, “mañana” — not the sentence. They join your vocabulary without you saving anything: it happened while you were talking to someone.
Every week, a set: four verbs and six words, chosen from the ones you actually come across. Each takes three steps — discover it, understand it, use it — and two minutes a day is enough.
When you write “mañana” in a real message, with nobody having suggested it, the keyboard notices and ticks it off. No flashcard app can do that: it does not have the keyboard.

The first is texting someone. The other four grow on the material you just produced, and ask for two minutes a day — whenever suits you.
You use Glotta instead of the system keyboard and write normally. As you finish the sentence, the translation appears above the keys. One tap swaps it in and you send that.

From every sentence Glotta keeps the words, not the sentence. Each one joins your vocabulary with a count of how often you have met it, and moves up a stage: met, understood, learnt.

Every week, a set chosen from the words you actually come across. Study introduces them a piece at a time, Review keeps them turning over, and the keyboard asks you a question now and then, between one message and the next.
Discovering and understanding happen in the app, in two minutes. Using it happens in a chat: you write it in a real message and the keyboard ticks it off by itself.
Tap a sentence and it comes apart: the verb with its conjugations, the words worth keeping, the reason for each. And you can ask it questions in a chat.

Impersonal: the subject is the thing you fancy, not the person. After “que” it takes the subjunctive.

A conversation, written or spoken, steered by the words in your set: the questions are built so that the natural answer uses exactly those. You answer, in the language you are learning — and without the fear of getting it wrong in front of someone.

You can follow several courses at once: each has its own vocabulary, its own set and its own hourglass, and you switch with a tap. The dictionary for your language pair downloads once, and from then on you can look things up with no network too.
It is the biggest thing this product asks, and we know it. In exchange it asks very little else: no session to fit in, no sentences chosen by somebody else, ten words a week that were already yours.
